Tecar therapy: what it is and how it works
Tecar Therapy: reactivating circulatory and lymphatic well-being
Contact Diathermy, or Tecar Therapy, is a technology that uses radiofrequency to treat musculoskeletal and circulatory conditions, reactivating the body’s natural self-repair mechanisms through endogenous (internal) heat.
Expert opinion:
"Tecar therapy stimulates cells, which increases microcirculation in the circulatory and lymphatic system. This helps open lymph nodes and promotes vasodilation of the lymphatic and venous channels," states Alessandro Borsa, massotherapist.
Duration and Frequency
Every condition is different, but on average, results are obtained within 5 to 10 treatments. Patients report an improvement in pain and the sensation of heaviness from the very first session. Sessions are generally carried out 2 or 3 times a week.
Comfort and Safety
The sessions are painless. For vascular conditions (edema and swelling), the treatment can be performed in athermal mode (without heat) to stimulate drainage in a comfortable way.
